Games Where AI Drives the Core Mechanics

Published Jul 22, 2026

Our whole team plays a lot, and we always pay attention to titles where AI drives the core mechanics. Here are some of our finds:

"Suck Up!": You play a vampire, talking NPCs into inviting you into the house. Each character runs on GPT, you speak with your real voice, and the AI picks up tone and emotions, so you can charm your way inside or blow your cover. The game has an impressive 50 million views on social media.

"Wanderfolk" (in Early Access): An interesting example of RAG turned into a memory mechanic. Conversations are stored as vector embeddings, so an NPC recalls the promise you made three sessions ago.

"Whispers from the Star": The whole game is one open conversation with an astronaut stranded on an alien planet, every line generated in the moment. Very Positive on Steam.

"Death by AI": A party game where an AI judges whether your survival plan works. Here the AI is basically a game master that lets everyone play.

These are just a couple of use cases showing how AI can create a new type of gaming experience. Building game mechanics where AI is the core? Reach out in the comments, or drop us a line — we are always happy to chat.
